Vortex® Valves International Opens Office In Switzerland

Vortex® Valves International is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Küng as the new Sales Manager of Vortex Valves GmbH. Oliver will oversee Vortex's new office based in Zurich, Switzerland, and will be responsible for sales development in Switzerland, France, Germany and Austria. The office will also provide support for Vortex's existing Italian representative, Normicom, srl.

Oliver brings seventeen years of experience from Bühler AG Switzerland, to the Vortex Valves team, which gave Oliver an impressive edge over other candidates, according to Jon Naylor, Vortex Valve's European Managing Director. Joining Buhler at the young age of 17, Oliver was apprenticed to the Head Millwright, building equipment such as sifters, valves and mills. He became Chief Installation Engineer for Worldwide operations before taking up the post of Sales Manager in 2006. Oliver will use his industry contacts, processing knowledge, and language skills in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese to head the Central European sales office in Switzerland.

"His problem-solving abilities earned him the nickname ‘The Doctor' amongst his colleagues at Buhler", Jon added. "Oliver has a consummate knowledge of dry bulk solids handling valves and, with a fluency in five languages; he will be a great asset."
