Our VGM1634 is ideal for larger tonnage custom molders and blowmolders needing to size reduce both bulky product and thick cross-sectioned flash.

Ball & Jewell's Model VGM1634 granulator features a 16 in. x 34 in. cutting chamber and is available in horsepowers ranging from 40HP to 100HP (dual 50HP motors).

The Model VGM1634 granulator features a unique cutting chamber design that combines the best performance features of conventional drop-through and tangential feed chambers.

The VGM1634 presents feed scrap to rotating knives at the Optimal angle to prevent stalling from overfeeding or over-ingesting. It's the closest thing to an all-purpose cutting chamber.

Tray feed hopper is sound controlled. Electric/hydraulic hopper opening device with multi-positional stops.

Drop down power assist screen cradle. Reversible steel screen.

Three blade open rotor, slant D2 steel knives for scissor-type cutting action, 16.5 in. diameter cutting circle. 4 edge reversible bed knives and bed knife clamps. Outboard pillow block bearings.

Single 40HP motor is standard with solid flywheel type drive sheave. Extended rotor shaft for optional second flywheel or drive.

Available options include a side pipe/profile hopper, ammeter with single set point and alarm light, second flywheel sheave, zero speed switch with alarm light, 3 blade solid rotor, 5 blade open rotor or 5 blade solid rotor.
