Features

Ball & Jewell's VG2200 series granulators are heavy duty, central granulators with a large cutting circle and Optimal angle cutting chamber and are easy to clean and change knives.

Features:

  • Heavy duty Optimal angle cutting chamber system.
  • Electric/hydraulic hopper opening.
  • Solid flywheel sheave and optional second flywheel.
  • Large diameter (22 in.) cutting circle.
  • Hydraulic assist swing down screen cradle, power assist tilt hopper with time delay safety switch.
Ball & Jewell's 2200 series granulators are available with cutting chambers measuring 22 in.x38 in., 22 in.x44 in. 22 in.x57 in. and 22 in.x66 in.. Available horsepowers range from 50HP to 150HP.

The 2200 series granulators present feed scrap to rotating knives at the Optimal angle to prevent stalling from overfeeding or over-ingesting. It's the closest thing to an all-purpose cutting chamber.

Rugged construction to withstand continuous operation. Wear resistant components reduce abrasive resin "wash out in..

Power assist tilt hopper with time delay safety promotes fast, safe cutting chamber access. Hydraulic assist swing down cradle for fast, unrestricted screen access. Precision drilled reversible screens for long life and reduced wear.

Large diameter (22 in.) cutting circle and screen area for positive feed and higher thruput. Clean-running, heavy duty outboard mounted pillow block bearings.

Three blade open rotor. Two sided reversible bed knives. Heavy duty flywheel for high inertia and smooth cutting of thick cross section material.

Available options include single set point ammeter, pneumatic evacuation systems, gaylord discharge base, additional flyhweel for increased rotor inertia, dual drives to provide even torque distribution and custom designed hoppers.
