Berstorff's UWG Underwater Pelletizer is designed to achieve a high degree of pellet uniformity - even with low-viscosity, sticky products - while offering ease of operation. The pelletizer's die plate and knife shaft bearing assembly work as one unit to maintain accurate, designated clearances. The UWG also features a pneumatic balancing mechanism to counteract the hydraulic forces created by the rotating knives, as well as a design which directs water around the knife shaft to eliminate cavitation. A large door on each side of the underwater cutting section offers easy access for start-ups and maintenance, and a mounted light adds to operator convenience.
