The combination of 2 color/2 material and wide platen offers optimum productivity by allowing you to produce complex two component parts, and larger parts on smaller machines. Both injection units offer the same technology, precision, and control. Each injection unit is independent of the other allowing you to establish separate molding specification and parameters for each component.

Special features for 2 component molding:
  • Two independent injection units operate independently of each other and each has its own power supply. Both units offer a choice of 12 injection speeds and 6 pressures.

  • Second injection unit adjustable to various sprue locations allowing for greater flexibility in mold design and increasing the possibilities of parts which can be molded in 2 colors and/or 2 materials.

  • Mold shift control is achieved by a separate hydraulic unit ensuring absolute precision in the molding process.

  • Family molding allows the molding of dual components at the same time.

  • Co-injection option is widely used in thin-wall applications and for cost management.

  • Over molding option allows for design options for aesthetics, color coding of similar parts, or the use of different materials for barrier or finish characteristics.

  • Single component production capability allows you to keep the machine productive at all times.
Key features of the ISG-2C/ISGN-2C Series machines:
  • INJECTVISOR(TM) V10 control system is fully programmable with touch screen accessibility, high resolution active matrix, and full-color TFT liquid crystal display. It is dual language (English/Spanish) and is preprogrammed for unmanned (lights out) operation.

  • Ultra fast processor provides for highly stabilized, consistent, and precise molding operations.

  • Optical linear scales allows position sensing accuracy to 0.001mm (0.00004in) for the injection screw and 0.01mm (0.0004in) for the clamp unit.

  • Two inch wider platens and two inch wider tie bar spacing accommodates larger molds. Generous clamp and ejector stroke allow for the molding of larger parts on smaller tonnage machines (not available on ISG90-2C).

  • Six Sigma capability.

  • Oil-less slide system provides a clean oil free work environment with less machine maintenance.

  • MOLDLYZER(TM) part quality control system is an exclusive computer program that continuously samples the hydraulic pressure during injection and compares the actual data to a Model Curve to determine part quality.

  • Injection swivel device allows the injection unit to swivel for easier inspection of screw and barrel.

  • Stainless steel hopper with material shutoff slide is easy to clean and non-corrosive.

  • Diamond tread plate prevents paint chipping and keeps your machine looking new.

  • Dynamic barrier (DBG) screw provides superior mixing and plasticizing. The DBG screw is an exclusive and innovative design that provides for extremely stable melt temperatures.

  • Extreme rigidity is provided by highly stable construction. Machines are manufactured to eliminate vibration and movement during operation.
