Rotary systems enable simple automation for increased production and efficiency. Branson Ultrasonics Corporation's new Series 40 Welding System is a self-contained semi-automatic ultrasonic plastics assembly platform with the emphasis on configurablity as well as increased production rates.
It is capable of welding, staking, inserting, swaging, or spot welding thermoplastics. Automatic cycling and air eject keep the operator's hands free for loading. With only a few minutes of training, an operator can turn out high-integrity, high-volume thermoplastic assemblies.
The new Series 40 system can include multiple ultrasonic stations or can combine ultrasonic systems with other types of welders, such as spin welders, or with other secondary operations such as stamping, leak testing or other assembly processes. Several options are available including pick & place components, and parts blow-off.
