Single pigment concentrates
A single pigment concentrate is a pelletized masterbatch in which a single colorant is compounded to develop its maximum color strength. Two or more of these concentrates can be mixed together to produce a custom masterbatch with exceptionally high pigment strength. Clariant's proprietary single pigment technology offers greatly enhanced masterbatch efficiency together with improved color dispersion.
Tailor made and standard masterbatches
More than 70 percent of all Clariant orders are custom formulated to specific applications and customer needs. We also produce a comprehensive range of standard color and additive concentrates for today's wide range of resins, and we are one of the world's foremost suppliers of heavy-metal-free concentrates.

Masterbatches for engineering resins

Masterbatches for synthetic fibers

Specialty engineered compounds
Clariant Performance Plastics offers a variety of high-performance proprietary compounds for the automotive and other specialty markets. Base resins that are used in these compounds include Nylon 6, Nylon 6/6, PC, ABS and PBT. These base resins can be filled with glass fiber, impact modifiers, minerals, or processing aids to tailor a specific product for an application.
