Plastics University Site Licensing
Plastics University, now available on a worldwide basis was originally conceived to provide D-M-E's domestic sales force with an opportunity to enhance its knowledge of the plastics industry. D-M-E combined its field experience with FSU's curriculum and computer expertise to bring the program to the masses. Many companies are using the CEU's offered through the program to meet training requirements for ISO 9000 certification. Colleges and companies of all kinds - especially those related to the plastics industry - can qualify to become a site. Plastics University is a Windows®-based course divided into eight separate modules, including Mold Print Reading, Mold Base Technology, Mold and Cavity Materials, Runner and Gate Design, Mold Finishing and Polishing, Mold Heating and Cooling, Mold Action, and Basics of Injection Molding. Each individual taking the course has access to a subject matter expert at FSU should they require assistance.
