Plastic Engineering & Technical Services Opens New Manufacturing Facility In India
New manufacturing facility in India planned to open in fourth quarter of 2006
Auburn Hills, MI This month, Plastic Engineering & Technical Services (P.E.T.S.) began constructing a manufacturing facility in Chennai, India. The new 25,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, opening in fall of 2006, will serve India's rapidly-growing injection molding market. The latest Plastic Engineering & Technical Services will manufacturer custom-design hot runner manifold systems to better serve its customers who include; Visteon, General Motors and other automotive and non-automotive companies locating manufacturing operations in India and Asia.
According to a recent economic report submitted by the Indian Government, the manufacturing sector in India grew 11.3% in the second quarter of 2004-2005, up from 7.9% in the first quarter of 2004-2005.
The emerging manufacturing sector has resulted in the opening of the new Plastic Engineering & Technical Services facility. The company plans on employing manufacturing engineers and service technicians during the first year of operations.

The company plans to utilize the India-based manufacturing facility to develop Hot Runner Manifold System components. Plastic Engineering & Technical Services manufactures the components to build hot runner manifolds and supporting systems including; temperature controllers, valve gate sequencers, valve gates and much more.
