The contact-free extensometers were developed for secure and accurate measurements during the testing of high extension, and contact sensitive materials. The optical extensometer is particularly suitable for testing elastomers. This device is ideal when testing requires temperature chambers. For specimen marking, self-adhesive points 2 mm in diameter and special coating are used as optical references for the initial gauge length.

Laser contact-free extensometer

The Laser extensometer is used for contact-free measurement for tensile and compression testing on various materials, but especially on rubber and elastomeres. It offers high operational security, especially with specimens which have radial or winding deformations. Zwick's contact-free extensometer program of also includes a Video extensometer, which is suitable for determination of reduction-in-width and R&N-value.

Features

  • Synchronization of force-path
  • Sample signal recognition against interfering influences
  • Performed without any time delaying positioning work
  • High operational security
  • Suitable in expanded temperature conditions
  • Used especially on rubber and elastomers
