Moldflow Announces Enhanced Capability Of Altanium Product Line
New data recording functions, staged start-up and shared platform increase user productivity and lower overall cost
Framingham, MA Moldflow Corporation, the leading global provider of design through manufacturing solutions for the plastics injection molding industry, today announced significant improvements to its "Matrix" user interface for Altanium®, Moldflow's high-end hot runner process control system.
In addition to offering industry-leading temperature control and superior reliability, the release of Matrix version 2.2 once again raises the bar. Matrix also offers a complete network-ready solution for remote monitoring or passing data to and from a server.
New features and benefits:
- Accountability–Matrix tracks all changes made to the process and logs this data as well as the operator who made the changes, a critical step for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
- User Defined Start-up Sequence–Temperature zones can be assigned to up to four start-up stages that are independently controlled, allowing the operator to program the most efficient method of heating up the mold.
- Higher Productivity–Users can now select when data should be recorded, enjoy expanded printing options, faster data transfer from USB devices, and customize the names of exported datasets.
- Common Operator Interface – Matrix can be run on the same operator interface used for Moldflow's Shotscope and MPX products, eliminating cost and clutter within the molding cell.
