Features & Benefits

The Model 18x36 Granulator's design features allow a beside-the-press style granulator to deliver high throughputs reclaiming large, bulky parts that would normally require more costly, higher horsepowered central granulators:

  • 36" wide infeed accomodates oversized pieces.
  • 40° angled, tangential feed and large cutting circle facilitates ingestion of large parts.
  • Dual flywheels and heavy-duty construction give more cutting force.
  • Heavy-duty carriers support entire knife cutting edges to withstand high-impact stress, extend knife life and deliver high quality granulate.
  • Integral sound reduction reduces noise levels to approximately 85 dbA.
More advanced design features for ease of service and maintenance:
  • All servicing is through the front, hinged door.
  • Three segmented, drop-down, pull away screen cradles provide quick access.
  • Screens are removed and out of the way so the operator has completely clear access for ease of service.
  • Heavy-duty, outboard spherical roller bearings prevent material contamination.
  • Cutting chamber is machined and bolted for additional ease of cleaning and servicing.

* "Thruput values are approximate only and are dependent upon your specific application. Variables such as material type, form and temperature, feed method, rotor configuration, knife sharpness and design, screen size, as well as evacuation system configuration all contribute to the overall capability of the equipment.
