Milacron To Showcase High-output, Twin-screw Extruder Technology At Plast '06

Cincinnati, OH — Milacron, one of the world's leading manufacturers of twin and single screw extrusion technology, brings two of its versatile and highly reliable machine designs to Plast '06, Milan (Hall 9, Stand B14-C13), along with exhibits of barrel and screw process technologies that deliver unmatched process control, wear-resistance and service life. Continuing its global marketing expansion, the company is showing two Cincinnati Milacron models, a TC55 conical twin-screw extruder and a TP93-26 parallel twin-screw extruder at the Milan show. The U.S.-built extruders offer superior, proven durability and productivity for lean, low-cost manufacturing advantages. Milacron reentered the European market in 2005 upon expiration of a non-compete agreement and is finding strong reception for its high output, twin-screw technologies, said Tom Brown, general sales and product manager for extruders.

The versatile Cincinnati Milacron TC55 conical twin features 114mm/55 mm max. diameter conical screws with sealed water screw core thermoregulation, air-cooled barrel, and Mosaic microprocessor control. It is designed for custom profiles, windows, pipe, fencing, wood-flour composites, foam, coextrusion and other applications. Milacron Extrusion Systems offers a comprehensive range of conical twin-screw extruders meeting every requirement from lab/development work to precision profiles and high-output shape production. Cincinnati Milacron conical twin models are available with 35mm, 50mm, 55mm, 65mm, 80mm, 86mm, 92mm and 96mm conical screws. Milacron is the only global maker of a full range of large conical twin extruders (65mm diameter and larger), using exclusive, patented technology to machine the conical twin screws.

The Cincinnati Milacron TP93-26 parallel twin extruder features 93 mm screws with 26:1 L/D ratio, sealed water screw core thermoregulation, water-cooled barrel, and Mosaic microprocessor control. The company's smallest parallel twin, the TP93-26 is used for extrusion of pipe, siding, profiles, sheet, foam applications and coextrusion. Cincinnati Milacron parallel twins are also available in 115, 140 and 172mm models. The TP machines combine compact, space-saving footprint with large feed zone providing greater surface area for gentle, uniform heat transmission.
