MICROLON 2800 is a fluoropolymer matrix coating which combines several polymers that cross link to form chains. These cross link chains create a tough, scuff resistant, surface which can support moderate loads and abrasive environments. Applied to any metal, the 2800 exhibits excellent lubricity and release qualities. APPLICATIONS: Initially developed as a release coating for rubber molds, the 2800 has been successfully used in applications which require non-stick, such as epoxies, adhesives, and heat sealing tooling. Additionally, the 2800 is used as a wear surface for moderate loads in rolling and sliding actions. The 2800 is a problem solver for food processing, medical, and rubber industries.
MICROLON 2800 PROVIDES:
- EXCEPTIONAL LUBRICITY...reduces friction to a dynamic coefficient of .060.
- ENHANCES FLOW...eliminates the natural drag between metal and resins, epoxies, and adhesives.
- EXCELLENT RELEASE AGENT...seals off the substrate surface and performs as a non-wetting agent.
