Surface Enhancement for Reinforced Composites Description Owens Corning M524-ECR30S surfacing veil is a wet laid glass fiber tissue of randomly dispersed glass fibers bonded into a sheet by a polystyrene resin. It is a highly uniform sheet with consistent tensile strength, complementing the range of dry process composites. The fibers are produced from Advantex glass fibers which are highly resistant to attack in acid environments. The binder is formulated for compatibility with all widely used polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin systems.

M524-ECR30S surfacing veil was developed using Owens Corning's Customer Fitness-For-Use methodology. It is manufactured at ISO 9001-registered glass fiber facilities in Liversedge, England. Owens Corning surfacing veils are optimized to meet the most exacting customer end-use requirements.
