International Conference On Medical Device Manufacturing From 24 To 26 April 2007
Cologne, Germany - AMI has just published the final speaker list for a new international conference on medical device manufacturing. Medical Moulding and Extrusion 2007 will be held at the Maritim Hotel in Cologne, Germany from 24 to 26 April 2007, starting with an evening cocktail reception followed by a full 2-day program of papers.
MedNet is opening the discussion on how to choose materials that are biocompatible for each application. The top experts on high performance plastics in healthcare are speaking, including Ticona, GE Plastics, Degussa, and Solvay Advanced Polymers. Rosti is giving a presentation on their cutting edge polymers as metal replacements, with Gentex on laser weldable plastics and Invibio on implantable PEEK. Transparent polymers will be discussed by Topas Advanced Polymers and Eastman Chemical. INSAM will give an overview of PVC in healthcare, addressing the recent issues.
Elastomers will be represented by Dow Corning on silicones, with RTP, Epurex and Wittenburg on medical TPEs.
Clean room manufacturing will be discussed by JOA. Davis-Standard is giving a presentation on medical extrusion, with Firstmoulds and Husky on medical injection moulding.
Medical Moulding and Extrusion 2007 is a place for the medical device supply chain to meet to discuss the technical and commercial issues facing the medical manufacturing industry.
