Hostaflon TFM(tm) PTFE

Hostaflon(R) PTFE products offer universal chemical resistance, a wide service temperature range (-200 C to 260 C), and excellent non-stick properties. Hostaflon TFM(tm) PTFE offers all of the properties of conventional PTFE plus improved deformation properties, higher transparency, excellent weldability and smoother surface finish. They are available in standard, free flow and presintered grades.

For coatings and impregnation of fibrous and porous materials and for coating surfaces, Hostaflon PTFE dispersions are used in products such as seals, packings, coated fabrics and nonstick surface applications. Polylube(tm) PTFE micropowders are used as additives for plastics, inks, lubricants, oils and greases for increased lubricity.

Special grades of TFM PTFE are especially well-suited for use in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, because they provide ultra-smooth surfaces on machined components, exceptionally low ion extractables and fusibility. Other typical applications include gaskets with low deformation under load to replace asbestos and corrosion resistant plant and equipment linings with low permeability and good weldability.
