HDG Series

Heavy Duty Ball & Jewell's HDG Series Heavy Duty Central Granulators have a conventional straight drop cutting chamber and are available with up to a 150HP motor. Ideal for thick cross-sectioned parts, pipe, sheet, and purgings.

HDG series heavy duty granulators are available with cutting chambers measuring 14 in.x24 in., 14 in.x36 in. 14 in.x54 in. and 20 in.x56 in.. Available horsepowers range from 40HP to 150HP.

HDG series heavy duty granulators feature the time-proven slant knife design for efficient, precise size reduction at reduced operating costs. Frames are constructed of heavy gauge, one piece weldments to withstand shock loads when grinding heavy wall pipe and fittings, sheet and large molded parts and trim.

Heavy duty, externally mounted, pillow block bearings provide thousands of maintenance free operating hours. Central lubrication eliminates contamination and fouling.

Access to rotor and bed knives is achieved via a drop door chamber, front and back. The screen cradle descends with assistance from gas springs while the screen pivots away from the rotor permitting easy access.

Flanged, removable hopper with top or side cleanout door.

"V in. belt drive with flywheel type driven pulley.

Available options include an integral sound enclosure, gaylord discharge base, pneumatic take-away systems, pipe hoppers, sheet chutes, feed roll systems, and a 5 blade solid rotor.
