GretagMacbeth Eye-One Pro Chosen As Preferred Measuring Device
In announcing his choice of the GretagMacbeth color solution, ColorMetrix Chief Executive Officer Jim Raffel commented, "The GretagMacbeth Eye-One Pro spectrophotometer was a natural choice for us to support with the GcX solution. With the capability of calibrating monitors and measuring ambient light, as well as its user friendliness and outstanding performance, the GretagMacbeth Eye-One Pro enables the GcX software to display colors accurately and conveniently to the end user."
The GcX server enables users to store measured data for specific jobs. Since the data is spectral-based, users can adjust the measured colors to be displayed under a simulated light source. By using the Eye-One Pro ambient light measurement feature, the functionality of the GcX software can be expanded to display colors under the user's actual lighting conditions.
"We are pleased that for its newest quality control solution, ColorMetrix has once again chosen to support the Eye-One Pro," explains Mark Geeves, VP of Business Development at GretagMacbeth. "Accurate color data is integral to keeping a process in check. Without process control, there can be no color consistency throughout the workflow."
