EGM (EXTERNAL GAS MOLDINGS) INCOE is introducing a new Gas Assist System. This system uses low pressure gas injection and provides the ability for molders to supply sink free, class A surfaces. Tests have shown that this system eliminates cosmetic surface defects such as hesitation and shadow marks. Molded parts are evenly pressurized which eliminates molded-in stress. This type of molding allows for thinner wall sections and reduced product cost.
