This unique terpolymer provides a combination of performance and processing advantages unmatched by any other melt processable fluoroplastic. Dyneon(tm) THV is a terpolymer composed of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride combined in different ratios to get a range of melting points and resistance to chemicals. Dyneon THV offers four series ranging from THV-200 for solubility and highest flexibility to THV-500 for best chemical/permeation resistance.
Unmatched flexibility and exceptional flex life relative to other fluoroplastics makes THV distinct. THV also features low temperature processing with a wide processing temperature window for extrusion, coextrusion, injection molding and blow molding. THV can also eliminate the need for corrosion resistant equipment.
THV offers resistance to a broad class of chemicals such as inorganic and organic acids, hydrocarbons, alcohol and ethers as well as halogen compounds. THV demonstrates excellent optical clarity and transmittance particularly in the U.V. and visible regions of the solar spectrum. This terpolymer bonds easily to many elastomers and plastics as well as itself.
