Cumberland Engineering Introduces the Model 1828I Granulator with a Rear-Mounted Feed-Roll System and a Motorized Hopper Tilt Mechanism at NPE 2000, Booth #1714
The Model 1828I feature
The Model 1828I features two new special options to complement the 18I Series Granulators.
The feed-roll system is configured to suit the application, depending on material width, thickness and rate.
A motorized tilt mechanism is available to provide effortless access to the cutting chamber for routine maintenance. Controls and safety interlock circuitry are provided for safe and efficient operation.
Other standard features of the Model 1828I include:
- 3-Knife High-Shear open rotor for improved airflow and cooler processing of heat-sensitive materials. Optional rotor designs include a 5-Knife High-Shear for higher throughput or a Multi-Knife Staggered "Hog" Rotor for heavy parts and small purgings.
- Integral outboard-mounted, double-roe spherical roller bearings for maximum load-carrying capacity for heavier-duty applications.
- Completely sound-attenuated hopper and chamber for quiet operation.
- NEMA Type 12 electrical enclosure that protects against moisture and dust contamination.
* "Thruput values are approximate only and are dependent upon your specific application. Variables such as material type, form and temperature, feed method, rotor configuration, knife sharpness and design, screen size, as well as evacuation system configuration all contribute to the overall capability of the equipment. Contact Cumberland Engineering for more specific information regarding your application."
