Cumberland Engineering and ReTech Industries Form Equipment Supply Alliance
This alliance allows Cumberland, South Attleboro, MA, to expand their capabilities by integrating the High Point, North Carolina - based ReTech Industries' equipment into their systems to provide a fully automated and turnkey solution. The ReTech Single-Shaft Rotary Grinder works together with the well-known line of Cumberland granulator machines to provide a two-pass-size reduction system in applications requiring pre-sizing of feedstock prior to granulation.
ReTech is a leader in the single-shaft rotary grinder market, a fairly new concept with its beginnings traced to Europe. This is the first genuinely new development in size reduction technology in many years. Over the past two years, ReTech has seen their products established as mainstream technology that is being widely accepted by the industry. Several grinder models are available.
The ReTech Single-Shaft Rotary Grinder accepts large, dense, and bulky waste materials into its voluminous hopper, processes the materials by hydraulically feeding them into a low-speed cutting rotor, and passes the materials through a screen to produce particles of a consistent size. The grinder can process many materials of different types and forms, some of which have never been capable of reduction except through manual labor. The superior capability of this concept lies in the machine's unique precision feed mechanism and the rotor's advanced cutting processing, and it produces very consistent particles at a very high throughput rate.
Operating in tandem with Cumberland Granulators, the grinder allows machine operators to process difficult materials - for example, large purgings, bales of film, stacks of sheeting, heavy rejects, and batches of parts - at very high throughput rates with less labor and much less equipment wear and tear.
Cumberland Engineering, with 60 years experience in the field of size reduction machinery, expands their capabilities with the ReTech alliance. Cumberland, in addition to excelling in granulators (ranging from 3 HP to 400 HP), also provides the industry with a single-source supplier of shredders, pelletizers, dicers, complete reclaim systems, and now, the uniquely versatile single-shaft rotary grinders.
