Conductive Compounds
Conductive thermoplastics have a number of advantages over metals. Finished parts are lighter in weight, easier to handle and less costly to ship. Fabrication of finished parts is usually easier and less expensive. They are less subject to denting, chipping and scratching, and can be inherently colored, eliminating a secondary color operation.
Unique applications for conductive thermoplastics include electrostatic-paintable (ESP) compounds and high-purity compounds. ESP compounds are designed specifically for electrostatic painting processes. They eliminate the need for a conductive primer coating, reduce overspray and volatile organic compound emissions, and minimize paint sludge disposal fees. ESP compounds are available in black or in colors that match your paint.
High-purity compounds answer the need for "clean" products that minimize ionic contamination and damage from electrostatic discharge. RTP Company has the ability to develop and test a conductive specialty compound that meets your definition of purity.
