BP Series

Beside-the-Press Ball & Jewell's BP series beside-the-press granulators are compact, multipurpose granulators with conventional straight drop cutting chambers, ideal for processing runners, tabs/tails, and thick cross-sectioned parts.

Ball & Jewell's BP Series beside-the-press granulators are available in cutting chamber sizes measuring 12 in.x15 in., 12 in.x20 in., 12 in.x24 in., and 12 in. x 29 1/2in. Available horsepowers range from 7 1/2HP to 60HP (dual 30HP on BP42).

All welded fabrication assures a long operating life, while a tilt-back hopper and cutting chamber provides easy screen access, reducing downtime and facilitating changeovers.

For ease of service and to eliminate contamination, bearings are outboard mounted.

Time proven slant knife cutting chamber design and three blade open rotor configuration is standard on all models. Optional 2 blade open, 3 blade solid, 5 blade open or 5 blade solid rotors are available.

Standard, integral sound damping construction provides quiet operation with less than 90 dbA noise levels common.

Tilt back cutting chamber for fast, easy cleanout; safety interlocked for operator protection.

Easy access controls installed in a NEMA-1 enclosure.

Available options include a Regal sound enclosure, vacuum evacuation bin, bin level monitor, solid flywheel sheave, conveyor feed or pipe feed hoppers, roll feed assemblies, and pneumatic unloading systems.
