The BOY 80 is a compact, 3 platen hydraulic injection molding machine with four tie bars. This is the largest injection molding machine in the Boy series and is equally suitable for producing high-precision moldings, as well as mass-produced articles.
This series is available with the Dipronic(R) Control (80T2), the PROCAN II Control(R) (80M), or the Procan CT. The BOY 80 is an 88 US ton machine with shot capacities ranging from 4.65 oz. to 8.25 oz. A wide range of plasticizing units are available for the processing of thermosets, elastomers, rigid PVC, liquid silicone rubber, MIM or ceramics.
The 80 series falls into the 120-150 US ton size of machinery with the generous 16.14 inch tie bar spacing, yet a compact foot print. Like all Boy machines, it uses a variable volume hydraulic pump with EPQ electronic control for extremely low energy usage.
