  Bonfiglioli Engineering has been operating since 1974 with great success in the market of leak testing machines.

  The experience built up and constant attention towards new technologies, have allowed the company to set itself as a valid point of reference at world level in the market for designing and building leak testers, for the can-making, beverage, food and plastics sectors.

  At the end of the nineties Bonfiglioli Engineering decided to take on a new challenge also taking on the pharmaceutical sector.

  Their machines can be used both in laboratories, for quality and sample control, as well as inserted in the production cycles for 100% controls while maintaining the specific production rhythms.

  RLD400
  The automatic “RLD400” leak testing machine has been made for the food / beverage and aerosol sectors. They specifically satisfy the needs of those concerns that have to check full containers after the filling and sealing phases.

  They can reach the point of testing 2000 containers/min with a guaranteed reliability over 99.99%. Thanks to the experience built up over the years, Bonfiglioli Engineering is capable of suiting these machines to the specific needs of its own customers, locating leaks in both plastic as well as metal containers of any shape and size, such as milk bottles, yoghurt cups, food pouches etc.

  Testing is done by automatically inserting the product in a testing chamber. Special sensors analyse the pressure pattern around the product when applied under vacuum rejecting faulty leaking containers accordingly. The RLD 400 machine is fully computerised utilising a SCADA platform. The software is easy to operate and includes utilities such as a products database, Statistical reports etc. A printer is also installed for printing test results and parameters. The machine includes an Auto Self Test system where by the machine is self challenged by a calibrated leaker installed in every chamber as frequently as desired to assure 100% reliability. Also installed is an Auto Cleaning Testing Pocket (ACP) mechanisim whereby the testing chambers are cleaned automatically when any spilling occurrs from a reject can thus eliminating subsequent false rejects. The output may easily reach 400 cpm depending on the number of testing heads. Laboratory semi-automatic models for the QC lab or random sampling are also available.
