Avenue Mould Analyst Achieves Moldflow Silver Certification

Framingham, MA — Moldflow Corporation, the leading provider of design through manufacturing solutions for the plastics injection molding industry, announced analyst Andrew Hodson of Avenue Mould Solutions has achieved Moldflow's Silver Certification Award in the UK and Ireland.

Hodson, achieved the certification as a result of assessments he undertook at Moldflow's UK training facility in Orpington to become the first person in the UK and Ireland to be awarded the prestigious distinction. His degree in Polymer Technology, skills which combine hands-on toolmaking with a real intuitive "feel" for moldmaking engineering, and in-depth training from Moldflow gave him the necessary tools to pass the challenging test.

Moldflow Plastics Insight® (MPI®) users such as Hodson can take advantage of the certification program for MPI given by the Moldflow Center for Professional Development (MCPD), in the Americas, Asia or the E.U. The program consists of three levels of certification: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

In order to achieve any level of certification, candidates must successfully complete the training, and become proficient users of the products in practice. The Bronze Level certification, which Hodson had already achieved, certifies proficiency. The Silver Level signifies one has significantly more advanced knowledge and understanding. With the Silver Certification achieved, Hodson is now working towards the Gold Certification, which acknowledges one has demonstrated the very highest level of skill.
