AV5282FR

AV5282FR [p/n AV5282FR-P] is a moderately fast-curing flame resistant epoxy specifically designed for composite laminating and coating. It features high thermal protection, low toxicity, low flame spread, and minimal smoke generation. AV5282FR is suitable for the production of small castings with a mix-ratio of 100 parts resin-A to 8 parts of Cure-B, by weight. Pot-life is measured at about 25 to 30 minutes for 100 grams at 77 degrees F. Typical cure-rates are 4 to 6 hours at 77 degrees Ffor minimum set-time. A hard-cure can take as much as 12 to 24 hours 77 degrees F. To realize full property performance, a cure-time of 7 to 14 days at 77 degrees F can be expected or after hard-gel, curing for 3 hours at 175 to 200 degrees F. Standard container is 5 gallon PAIL weighing about 50 pounds [net].

Handling and Toxicity:
This product is intended for industrial use only and should be used with caution. Avoid all contact with the skin. If contact occurs, wash affected area thoroughly with soap and water. Repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis in susceptible individuals. Wear protective clothing and gloves. Severe irritation will result if this product is introduced into the eyes. Always wear eye protection. If eye contact occurs, flood eyes with clear water for 16 minutes and immediately seek medical attention.
