The EC Series all-electric injection molding machines provide an even higher level of dimensional accuracy and part repeatability than you have seen before. They also offer very valuable operating efficiencies adding to productivity, part quality, extraordinary energy savings, and environmental and ecological advantages. In addition, you get the quality you have come to expect from Toshiba Machine - the same operator friendly control system as used on our hydraulic models with many management information programs, exclusive screw designs, ultra fast processing, Six Sigma manufacturing capability and more.

Benefits of Toshiba All-Electric injection molding machines:
  • Increased productivity.
Faster cycles, quicker response times, greater accuracy and less maintenance will increase machine and overall shop performance.

  • Greater repeatability.
Shot to shot consistency improves quality ratios that help you to achieve Six Sigma manufacturing levels of less than three rejects per one million parts produced.

  • Reduced operating costs.
Energy efficient - cuts machine electricity usage from 60% to 80% depending on the process and material being used. Also reduces cost of factory air conditioning and water cooling.

No hydraulic oil - saves the cost of hydraulic oil and its disposal.

Reduced scrap - faster machine set up, high accuracy, and superior repeatability.

Lower labor costs - fewer man-hours per machine and reliability for unmanned operation.

  • Environmentally responsible.
Quieter, cleaner operation, and ecologically friendly.

Key features of the All-Electric machines:
  • High speed, high cycle molding is provided by specially designed servo motors which allow for up to 75% faster injection rates.

  • Total machine system integration is achieved through the use of separate motors for each processing function. The six motors turn on and off in synchronized harmony through the course of each cycle.

  • Five point double toggle clamping mechanism uses extra wide double cam follower to support moving platen and protect platen from deflection.

  • Less stress on injection mechanism is accomplished by using a four guide bar system which eliminates the side load on the ball screw.

  • Automatic lubrication of toggle pins, ball screws, and tie bar bushings allows for maintenance free operation.

  • Wear resistant bimetallic barrel (Xaloy X102 or equivalent.)

  • INJECTVISOR® V10 numerical control system is fully programmable with touch screen accessibility, high resolution active matrix, and full-color TFT liquid crystal display. It is dual language (English/Spanish) and is preprogrammed for unmanned (lights out) operation.

  • Ultra-fast processor provides for highly stabilized, consistent, and precise molding operations.

  • Absolute position sensing accuracy to 0.001mm (0.00004in.) increases molding consistency (fewer rejects) and allows for tighter tolerances.

  • Dynamic barrier (DBG) screw provides superior mixing and plasticizing. The DBG screw is an exclusive and innovative design that provides for extremely stable melt temperatures.

  • Stainless steel hopper with material shutoff slide is easy to clean and non-corrosive.
