Automated Packaging Systems Introduces Scratch Resistant Bag Packaging Film

Streetsboro, OH - Automated Packaging Systems, the world leader in high-reliability packaging systems, has added NSCR, a new scratch resistant film to its pre-opened bag product offerings. Flexible yet very durable, this new film is ideal for packaging products with high gloss finishes or surfaces that are sensitive to scratching or abrasion.

NSCR is a low density polyethylene film that features a unique embossing technique, creating a highly durable material that is flexible and easily machined, yet eliminates abrasive properties. The film contains no anti-block additives, which are typically used to prevent polyethylene surfaces from sticking together, but can cause minor surface chafing.

"The non-abrasive properties of this non-scratch film make it ideal for eyewear, jewelry and electronics applications," said Tim Groff, Director of Marketing. "Protecting these high value items from scratching reduces costly product returns and damages, and increases overall customer satisfaction."

NSCR film is available in Autobag bags-on-a-roll configurations, and is system-matched for guaranteed operation on all Automated Packaging Systems bagging equipment.
