Punch Press Degater

The >SAS< Punch Degater effectively degates difficult fan gates or precision requirements such as vestiges under +0.555". The degater can be either hand or robotically loaded onto the die slide. Once parts are in place, the slide automatically shuttles under the punch for degating. The unit is fully automatic with a programmable PLC, which is interfaceable to the robot control. If required for manual operation, non-tie down palm buttons and a light curtain are available for safety (OSHA) requirements.

Applications have utilized this degater to fully automate the part removal process, with >SAS<'s robotic EOAT integrated with this Punch Degater for injected molded parts ranging from intricate cellular phone flips to large automotive bumper parts.
