Fluidizing Bed

Discharge aid for silos, bins, scale hoppers. etc. Consists of an aeration membrane inside a steel hopper. The aeration membrane is a sintered polyethylene plate, divided into 2 or more sections. Low pressure air from a rotary lobe or ring style blower is blown through the membrane, aerating or fluidizing the powder to make it free flowing. Ideal for powders of all types, even sticky or cohesive ones, and those with extremely small particle sizes such as calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, talc, dispersion grade PVC resins, flour, etc. Outlet can be connected with a metering device if desired to a convey line, packaging line, silo load out, etc. Available in shallow angles from 950mm to 2855mm diameter, and in steep cone design for smaller bins and scales from 640mm to 1802mm diameter. Comes complete with fluidizing valves and blower packages.
