DESIGNED FOR VERSATILITY. BUILT FOR ADAPTABILITY.
The ever growing number of bulk bag users proves they are now an accepted form of packaging, storage and transport, not just from an economic viewpoint - equipment now available from Spiroflow makes filling and discharging bulk bags safer, easier, controllable and contained.

Continuous development of our Spirofil™ range of weighing and filling stations give processors the choice of standard equipment, or customized equipment to suit access, height or hazardous considerations. Our bulk bag filling stations are also more versatile than many on the market - they can be adapted for use with rigid IBCs, drums, or Octabins.

WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS
Spirofil™ bulk bag fillers offer the widest range of applications, and are used extensively across an equally wide range of industries including those of food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics and building and construction.

VERSATILITY
Many standard operating features are included in all Spirofil™ bulk bag weigh fillers, enabling the processor to begin immediate production without the need for extra equipment. In addition to the built-in features of the standard bulk bag fillers, a full range of options are provided, allowing many other operations to be performed from the same machine.

Determining your requirements.
Before specifying a particular weigh filler, or indeed any options that may enhance the production process, some key factors need to be considered. This not only helps to assess a customer's own particular requirements, but also assists Spiroflow's design engineers determine the system best suited to a customers needs.

Q. How do we handle the FIBCs?

A. By pallet or by bag loop. Pallets have the advantage of being handled only once, and are also easier to remove after the bags are filled.

Q. What bag style and size do we use?

A. Apart from the type of product, the bag needs to optimize all available space in terms of safe transport
and storage.

Q. How do we contain dust?

A. For filling products where a bag liner is used, a pneumatically operated inflatable neck seal effectively contains the dust during filling.

Q. Can the equipment be adapted to fill other types of containers?

A. Yes. Spiroflow supplies a range of options for the filling of
rigid bins, drums and octabins.

Q. Does the product need to be vibrated?

A. Usually, yes. Vibration at the base of the unit or a spinning head deaerates and compacts the product so it fills every corner of the bag.

Q. Will we need a bag liner?

A. If the product is very fine,  yes you probably will. A bag liner prevents leakage out of the bag. However, various alternatives can be used such as special bag seams or coated FIBC material.

Q. Will the equipment need to be earthed?

A. If the product is susceptible to static build-up, it could pose an explosion risk. Static grounding can combat this problem.

Q. Can automation improve our process?

A. This depends on your particular situation and volume requirements, although it can be considered a possibility for future needs.
