Testing of sheet metals in two axis.

The behavior of sheet steel during deep drawing, needs to be determined by mechanical loading. One-dimensional tensile mechanical loading, as used in traditional material testing on rolled sheet metal, will not answer these questions sufficiently. Zwick can provide a bi-axial loading frame specially designed to perform this and related critical tests.

Features

  • Specimen is always in the center
  • Special extensometer for this application
  • Often used in the sheet metal /automobile industry
