Barrier Plastics Introduces Innovative 1.5 Gallon/6L UN Y Rated Baritainer®

More Than a Year in Development, the new 6L Baritainer® offers a cost effective alternative to 1.5g lined steel cans

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) - Barrier Plastics, Inc. proudly announces the release of its newest addition to the Baritainer® Jerry Can product line. A full year of research and development went into the release of the 6L, which is made with HDPE and Quoral® Barrier Resin (BR). The 6L tight head jerry can serves as a lightweight and secure alternative to the 1.5g lined steel tight head can for the packaging and shipping of chemicals requiring barrier protection.

Barrier Plastics is the only US Company to manufacture a UN-rated monolayer barrier tight head jerry can. Previously, the 4L, 5L, 10L, 13L, 5gallon and 20L sizes comprised the full Baritainer® jerry can product line. Now, with the introduction of the newest 6L Baritainer®, Barrier Plastics rounds out the product line with a size that gives customers a true alternative to the 1.5g lined steel tight head can. “We developed this additional 6L size incorporating Quoral® barrier technology,” commented Kevin Callahan, the COO of Barrier Plastics, “at the request of our customers who desired a full Baritainer® product line that solves all of their packaging and shipping requirements.”

All Barrier Plastics Baritainer® containers are made with Quoral® Barrier Resin (BR), manufactured by Barrier Plastics’ sister company, BP Polymers. Quoral® BR is a unique, proprietary barrier resin additive for high-density polyethylene that utilizes laminate technology. Quoral® Baritainers® can safely transport solvent-based products such as household chemicals, industrial chemicals, cleaning solvents, adhesives, wood preservatives, automotive additives, and agricultural chemicals. Baritainers® can also safely transport foodstuffs such as flavorings and edible and essential oils.
